Our Past
Risen Savior was started by a group of Christians - the core of whom were previously part of Christ Lutheran in Savannah. Standing on the gospel, they saw the growing community of Pooler as a great place to reach out with the Risen Savior. Milestones in our church's history include:
August 1, 1997 - First Sunday service held
May 2005 - Broke ground on classroom/church facility
October 8, 2006 - Official grand opening
August 2013 - Risen Savior Christian Academy begun
May 2019 - Broke ground on new Academy classroom building
September 2019 - daughter congregation begins in Bluffton, South Carolina - May River Lutheran
August 2020 - dedicated Academy classroom addition on our campus
Our Present
Risen Savior is a growing community of individuals and families who love to gather together to be strengthened in their faith.
We currently worship in our beautiful facility on Quacco Rd. in Pooler.
On a typical Sunday you'll find a bustling room full of about 150 people including lots of young, energetic kids!
Our Future
Future plans include building a new sanctuary and gymnasium on our campus (site plan) as our community and Academy continues to expand.
We are excited about making an eternal impact in Pooler as we continue to proclaim the Risen Savior and show love to our community for the generations to come!
