Risen Savior Christian Academy assists the families of our academy and community by providing a quality Christ-centered education for training life-long disciples of Christ. We have been blessed to carry out this mission in our current facilities since 2006. Shortly after the completion of our current building, Risen Savior Lutheran Church began offering a Mommy and Me program. That program developed into a preschool program that now offers programs for two through four year-olds. In fall of 2013, RSCA's elementary level began with the opening of our kindergarten class. Since then, one grade level has been added each school year. At present, RSCA offers preschool through fifth grade with a vision of expanding to eighth grade.
While our current facilities have served us well, they now limit our ability to continue growing and fulfilling our mission. In order to continue providing the excellent program of Christian education that our families have come to expect, expanding our facilities is necessary. For years, RSCA leadership has been carefully planning and preparing for this growth. Because of that planning, a significant portion of the funding for the new building is already in place. Additionally, funding the new building will NOT take place through tuition increases. We will continue to provide the same level of excellence in education without placing an unnecessary burden on our Academy families.
The new building will feature five classrooms (675 square foot/each), secured entry and corridor entry, additional teacher workspace and storage, reception and principal offices, multi-purpose space (library, resource, media room), and a new restroom area. We are excited that these additional classrooms will allow us to house the elementary school entirely in the new portion of the building while expanding our preschool in the existing portion.
The timeline of this project is key. Plans for groundbreaking have been made for May of 2019, and the project is set to be completed in May of 2020. RSCA staff will begin moving into the new building in the summer of 2020 in preparation for the 2020-2021 school year when RSCA adds seventh grade. Building dedication will take place in August of 2020. Continuing support for the project will enable to stay on track with our project completion goals.
Your support for this project is invited! RSCA is committed to shaping the hearts and minds of the young children and families of our community for years to come.
